Our Story

Fine linen appeared in ancient Egypt 6,000 years ago. The Egyptians called it "moonlight weaving".

Today, Native Linum upholds the heritage of this ancient craft, curating one-of-a-kind collections that are exclusively available here. From bedding to curtains to cutlery and beyond, we bring you luxury.

We source our fibers from Northwest Europe; However, flax is cultivated in Europe and other parts of the world. We believe in providing our customers with the best linen and find that Northwest Europe is the ideal climate for flax to thrive.

Our process is meticulous and labor-intensive, taking about 100 days from start to finish. Each fiber is extracted from the stem by hand and then separated, carded, spun, and dyed. These fibers are then woven into fabric, hand-cut, and sewn into the collection you see today. This level of craftsmanship is time-consuming and labor-intensive, which sets our products apart.

Our linen is not just a luxury; it's an investment in your health. The unique hollow fibers ensure exceptional airflow, making it the most breathable material. Its superior water absorption can increase the moisture content by up to 20% of the dry weight without feeling damp, guaranteeing comfort and restful sleep. If you're prone to allergies, our linen's natural anti-allergy and anti-dust mite properties could ease symptoms and provide peace of mind.

Machine washable without ironing, giving any décor a comfortable, relaxed look and feel. Of course, ironing is also an option if needed. Elegantly complemented by time-honored sustainable craftsmanship, it's no wonder many people seek our linens.
